Portland Museum is holding a Relaxing Relics event in our tranquil
garden on 30th and 31st July from 10.30am to 3pm as part of the
Council for British Archaeology Festival of Archaeology. There will be
demonstrations of spinning and weaving and opportunities to rummage
through sort trays to find artefacts. Visitors can make woven bracelets,
clay beads, and contribute to a canvas mural using ancient pigments.
Local archaeologists will be on hand to answer questions and exhibit
local finds. Admission £1 for children and £2.50 for adults.
