On Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st July, 10:30am – 3:30pm, Portland Museum is hosting ‘Awesome Archaeology’ an event that is part of the Council For British Archaeology 2 week programme of events. With an awesome selection of activities and crafts, it is going to be a guaranteed weekend of Archaeological fun!

On both days there will be an opportunity to meet the archaeologists and see their awesome finds, Hands on activities (sort trays, mosaic designing), paper crafts and refreshments.

 

On Saturday 20th July we have:

• Meet Ciorstaidh Hayward Trevarthen Portable Antiquities Scheme Officer
• Face painting (from 12:30pm)

 

On Sunday 21st we have:

• Bournemouth University sanctuary pigment painting

 

Admissions/prices are:

• £1 per child 
• £2.50 per adult 
• Young Archaeology club free (upon proof of membership) 
• Reduced entry fee for museum
• Face painting is an additional cost
