Halfway through – and thank you!
by Portland Museum
Portland Museum is halfway through its Diving into the Digital Archives of the Earl of Abergavenny project and would like to say thank you to all the #NationalLottery players out there that have made this project so worthwhile and such fun!
With our training partners NAS and MSDS Marine, we’ve spent the last few months developing digital skills for heritage amongst our amazing team of volunteers, and wow! Have we got some great stuff to show!
We now have a good number of the never-been-seen-before finds from the Earl of Abergavenny collection available to view in all their 3D glory right here on this website. And to add to these great images we have lots more information on the story of the Earl of Abergavenny to share with you here and here.
For those of you out there that would like to join the next lot of training and digital recording activities, don’t be shy! Do get in touch with us via [email protected] to express your interest and our friendly team will give you a guide to what will be taking place in Phase 2 of the project. We’ve a great team and you can see some of the activities our volunteers got up to here and here. So what are you waiting for?
