Well, if you’re interested in joining the project then we’d love you to get in touch. You can start, in the first instance, by contacting the museum at [email protected]. We’ll send you an expression of interest form that you can return to us and also send you more information about the training opportunities that are becoming available. These will revolve around the 3D scanning/photography of the finds from the Earl of Abergavenny, the cataloguing of information relating to the finds, handling objects and writing condition reports, and populating a new website with the 3D images and interpretation. The training is being supplied by the museum’s partners, NAS (Nautical Archaeolgy Society) and MSDS Marine and will be fully accredited.  

 

This is one of the most exciting projects that Portland Museum has had to offer in the last few years so do get in touch – we’re going to build a great team and a great outcome!
