Church Ope Report Now Available
by Portland Museum
The report forms the central part of the ACE funded History, Myths and Legends of Church Ope Cove project that Portland Museum has been working on in partnership with b-side. Our research co-ordinator, Bea Moyes, and our group of community researchers have worked hard to explore and investigate this exciting area of Portland. Together, they have uncovered information that, as well as debunking popular misbeliefs, has shone a light on common but lesser-known social activities at the cove.
Portland Museum would like to thank Bea Moyes and the community research group for providing us with this report to share with you. We are also excited to be moving on to the next stage of the project which will involve further use of the report in new interpretation for the museum. With the current Covid-19 pandemic in mind, this is being designed to be portable and for outside use. Again, we look forward to sharing this with you later in 2020.
