Pirate Day Returns to Portland Museum
by Portland Museum
‘X’ marks the spot at Portland Museum on Wednesday 27th May, when families are invited
to join us for a full day of swashbuckling fun. Running from 10:30am to 3:30pm, Pirate Day
is back with a treasure chest of activities for all ages.
Visitors can enjoy pirate‑ and smuggling‑themed crafts and challenges, take part in our Lost
Treasure Eye Spy trail, and get creative with our ever‑popular Paint Your Own Fossil
activity. There will also be face painting, glitter tattoos, tasty refreshments, and even a
pirate raffle.
And keep your eyes peeled, me hearties — there may be a few surprises hidden in the
museum for sharp‑eyed buccaneers to discover. After all, you never know what a pirate
might stash away…
Prices
• Islanders: £2.50 per child / £1 per accompanying adult
• Non‑islanders: £3.50 per child / £2.50 per accompanying adult
(Please note: Paint Your Own Fossil and face painting carry additional costs.)
No booking is required — just come on down and join the adventure.
