C2000 Hall for Portland’s Quirky Railways—an illustrated talk celebrating

200 years since the Merchants Railway got its official go-ahead, and 60

years since the last passenger train puffed away from the Island. Expect

a spirited ride through narrow and broad gauges, gravity-powered

wagons, diesel engines, and a few delightful oddities you probably didn’t
