Due to illness, ‘Blighty or Bust’ is being cancelled. But fear not, we have another speaker! Community Ranger at the Dorset Wildlife Trust, Abi Mustard is presenting ‘Introduction to the Wildlife of Chesil Beach and Fleet Lagoon’ on Thursday 30th January 2:30 – 4pm at the C2000 Hall, Easton.
From little terns, which nest along Chesil Beach, to the extensive meadows of seagrass found within the Fleet Lagoon, Chesil Beach and Fleet Lagoon support a great diversity of species and are also popular places for people to visit. I am based at the Fine Foundation Wild Chesil Centre, where I have been working for Dorset Wildlife Trust for the last couple of years as the Community Ranger. My role is predominantly engagement focused and am working within a relatively new and exciting partnership project, which aims to raise the conservation profile of the nature reserve and to encourage visitors to help us protect this internationally recognised space for wildlife and habitats during their visit.
