All Saints School Students Work Experience Week
by Portland Museum
Portland Museum is enjoying a week long visit from students studying at All Saints School, Weymouth.
The students are gaining valuable work experience in all kinds of heritage skills relating to work in a museum.
Throughout the week, the students have taken part in a wide range of activities from making 3D digital models of collection objects, conserving finds from the Earl of Abergavenny shipwreck, carrying out a fossil audit and welcoming visitors to the museum.
The students are lucky enough to have received training in their new heritage skills from Portland Museum Trustees and Archaeologists, Nancy Grace and Nick Reed, and Project Manager, Lucy Watkins.
Portland Museum is proud to play a part in the passing on of valuable heritage training skills to the next generation.
