Portland Museum is pleased to announce that we have three guided walks to Rufus Castle coming up.

The walks will be held on Wednesdays July 27th, August 10th and August 31st. They will start at 11:00 am (meet at the museum at 10:50 am) and will take approximately one hour. The tickets are £5.00 per person or £2.50 for Friends of Portland Museum. At the end of the walk there will be an opportunity to enjoy free tea/coffee and biscuits in our lovely museum garden.

This is an unusual opportunity to see inside Rufus Castle so do book early. This much loved local castle, perched precariously above Church Ope Cove, has been the subject of much myth and rumour over the years. However, thanks to recent research, there is new information available to everyone that Portland Museum is looking forward to sharing with you.
